Red Roses

I participated in a Bowl-a-thon to raise money for Junior Achievement.
We were Pirates, Salty Sailors really.
I decided we need to have some red roses to go with our attire.
I was inspired by this Felt Flower Tutorial
So I purchased an XL red shirt and started cutting.
I made about 8 red flowers and then had to make some purple ones too out of an old shirt that was no longer useable.

Yogurt Making

Here are some picture instructions for how to make yogurt!
I've been making it for over a year and LOVE it.
It's easy and SO much cheaper!
I make a half gallon at a time.
Use 2% organic milk.

Nerf War

Family Fun - Camera Hot Potato

Camera Hot Potato was a HIT at our house.

You play hot potato with a camera on the timed setting.

Set your timer and start passing the camera.

Who ever gets "shot" is out of the game, til next time.

Cupcake Liner Flowers

We made some cupcake liner flowers.

All you need are some cupcake liners, green (or any color) pipe cleaners and a hole punch.

Closet and Hangers

I saw on Pinterest to turn your hangers backwards at the beginning of the year.
If at the end of the year you still have items turned backwards it's time for those to
MOVE ON to a better home.  LOVE this idea.  So I did!

Valentine's Day 2012

Breakfast (notice the praying Beckam, precious)

cherry flavored water, heart shaped bread with peanut butter and sprinkles, berries and heart shaped strawberry, red egg in toast, a few candy hearts

I silhouetted the boys mirrors for part of their Valentine's present.

I add to it daily!

Lunch:

I had made the PBJ dipped in chocolate last year and thought I'd do it this year too.

Good thing, as I was asked early that morning if I had made it again. He REMEMBER of course.  WHEW that was close.  X and O's for a tic-tac-toe game (see top of lunch box) are oyster crackers with food marker X on one side and O on the other, heart shaped strawberries, personalized covered vanilla milk box and a strawberry milk straw.

Here is our version of the snowman bagel from Family Fun magazine.

toasted bagel thin, cream cheese, carrot nose, chocolate chip eyes, red pepper mouth, celery and broccoli ear muffs.

They thought these were DELISH!!!

Valentine's 'Cards' 2012

I'm home with a sick boy today so this week's post is two days early.
Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Here are my boys' Valentine's this year.

Lego Organization

For Christmas the boys got a lot of Legos to add to the massive collection.

I'm NOT complaining AT ALL.

Just stating facts.

So this CDO mama had to do something about it.

So we went to work.

First stop Target for their after Christmas sale on organizational items.

We got two wide drawer sets, one three drawer skinny set, two five drawer sets.

Then we went to Home Depot and purchased a 15"x96" white melamine board.

I had them cut it to 82" which is what we needed to fit the top of the drawer sets described above.  Then we went to work organizing.

We put the "together sets" in plastic bags with the instructions.

The instruction books (that didn't have the pieces all together) in a drawer (or 3).

Then the extra pieces were sorted by color.

If my CDO mother was doing it she would sort by piece type NOT color.

But that would require more drawers than I could fit in my house so we went with this method.  LOVE YOU, MOM!

Christmas Card Prayers

The Children's Ministries at our church had a WONDERFUL idea around Christmas time.
Save all of your Christmas cards.  Pick one each day and pray for that family.
Isn't that AWESOME!
I LOVE it.
So we incorporated it at our house.

Chalk Scooter

Our neighbors got these cool scootera for Christmas.  You attach three pieces of sidewalk chalk and ride.  The chalk leaves it's mark as you press with your foot.

I got the Cameo in October!  LOVE this new machine.

LOVED my Silhouette but LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this one that much more!
