Flower Power

I wanted a yellow flower for my hat.

Did I mention I was short on time?
SO I found some yellow gingham fabric in my stash,
put it on my Silhouette cutting mat (green one),
used the pink blade and cut out nine flowers varying in size .5"

I also got a yellow button and threaded some purple (of course) ribbon through two of the four holes.
then I stacked the flowers together rotating slightly as I layered

place the button on top and stitched through the two empty holes
then I tied the ribbon into a bow and safety pinned it to my hat

I wouldn't advise not using the interfacing but it worked this time :)

That is so cute! I don't have a silhouette though, are they expensive? Visiting from Serenity now.
Have a great day.

I love that!! The shape is great, and the layering effect looks so nice. What a neat way to embellish an outfit or accessory!

Thanks for joining my "Crafty Cutter" party. Hope you'll stop by Serenity Now again soon. :)
